Pratilip 3: Wagish Shukla's Novel in pdf and A Lot More


Literary bimonthly Pratilipi's third issue is out now and one of its major attractions is Vishesh: Ek Tilismi Upakhyan, a chapter (a droplet) from IIT Delhi's Mathematics Profeesor Wagish Shukla's proposed (ocean of) a novel (2500 pages!). Australian Filmmaker Michael Buckley's essay on Gesture as Cinema and paintings by Meena tribal women are among the Featured attractions.


Among others writes in the issue are Norwegian poet Olav Hauge, Japanese poet Shuntaro Tanikava, Sukrita Paul Kumar in Gulzar's translations, Nand Kishore Acharya, Asad Zaidi, Anjum Hasan and seven younger poets. In the fiction section it has a short story by this year's Man Asia Literary Prize long listed author Sumana Roy, Meena Arora Nayak, and three Hindi authors Kunvar Narain, Malchand Tiwari and Piyush Daiya. Famous painter Haku Shah's autobiographical piece heads the non fiction section.
